Let’s Back to Batik

Yesterday, I have a time to hanging around the mall at Lippo karawaci, Tangerang. It’s been so amazing looking at the dress that’s trend in fashion world on the retail shop. There’s a Batik here, There’s a batik there and batik again all over the Mall. Well its make me proud enough because nowadays people have already forgot about that beautiful culture heritage who already dipatenkan by Malaysia. One step behind and feel so cheated.
Batik is one of Java's famous and highly developed art traditions, batik is an important industry in many production centers in Java. It is a proof that the people of Java do love the products, long time ago created by their ancestors. Batik designed materials are clearly seen as women traditional dresses, shirts, sarongs, bags, hats, table-cloths, napkins, painting and decorative items, etc, with traditional color of brown, call sogan, indigo and blue or more colorful ones.
The tourist who visits Indonesia adore of this beautiful motif product. The motifs of Batik, especially with old pattern, as in other field of Javanese tradition are symbolizing something. Some of the motifs are :
1. Sido Mulyo :
Symbolizing 'you should be happy and rich man'.
2. Sido Dadi :
Symbolizing 'you should be a man/woman as you
3. Satrio Wibowo :
Symbolizing 'Man with dignity'.
4. Tikel Asmorodono :
It is meant the one who wears this batik, should be loved more and more by others.
5. Sidomukti, symbolizing a happiness and prosperous life. Using the same motif symbolizing the togetherness. In a wedding ceremony the bride and the bridegroom wear the same motif of batik
6. Truntum, symbolizing the advice of the parents to the newly weds to enter the new life with full of love and confidence.
Although the motif that now in the marketplace are not the old motif but at least we still love our country’s production of batik. Maybe this is the way of the cloth designer to celebrate the national awakening of Indonesia. Long Live Indonesia.

TRAINING EDUCATION PROGRAM
FOR INTERNATIONAL TEACHERS 2008
(INDONESIA –MALAYSIA)

The program followed by 600 teachers who come from all over Indonesia. I’m so excited to have a chance to participate and join them to have a discussion about education generally and about The comparation study of education an Indonesia and Malaysia. The keynotes speakers are : The National Minister of Education (Prof. Dr. Bambang Sudibyo), Dr. jamil Ahmad from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Noorlia Goolamally from Open University Malaysia, Mr. Syafik Umar (General manager Of Pikiran Rakyat Newspaper), and of course some others education expert from STKIP Pasundan College, Bandung. They are : Drs. H. Edi Komarudin, M.M., Dr. H. Endang Komara, Drs., M. Si., H. Khaerul Syobar, SE., M.M., Diky Komarudin, SE., M.M., Rony Muhamad Rizal, ST., M. Si.
The most interesting is about how we’re teachers in Indonesia feel lucky to have a chance to talk to the Minister of Education directly. Most of us are complained about the Public Policy of The Teachers Sertification. About its selection, its compensation and some other things who had a connection with the wealthy stuffs. Not forget to talk about The National Examination for student that really really makes us so confuse and don’t know what to do. But The Minister, as usual can not make us satisfied because of the special way of bureaucrat answering public question. But it’s OK. That’s just the way they are.
Bravo to the committee who had really successful in building the program. They are the students of STKIP Pasundan. Well Young generation, the country is waiting……..

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR PC FROM VIRUS

Whatever antivirus they we use, even we’re always update for the newest version, virus will always be there. One maybe collapse but thousands will attack your PC immediately. So, beware.
Maybe these tips will be useful to stay away from that “digital creature”:
1. Always update the antivirus you use, at least once a week. If you’re online, remember to activate the auto update of the antivirus
2. Non activate the auto run facility in your PC so the CD-ROM or flask disk that connects to the PC doesn’t run the file inside them. The auto run program can be use to detect if there is a virus when starts windows
3. Display all file windows extension including system windows (in windows explorer, open the tools
GIVES NOTHING, ASK MANYTHING

In our work life there’s always something we adore off or something that makes us get really bored. There’s always someone so kind and so bad. The second is the truth that I have to face in my workplace right now. I told you all of this as objective as I can be. It seems that we lost our tied as a friend. Everybody look at others with full of prejudice eyes. From fourty teacher in my school, half of them have a bad side that influenced the atmosphere. Do you think that I’m exaggerate if most of them do these things
1. Frequently come so late to school
2. To much missing the class and neglecting the students
3. Leave the class before the times
4. Don’t care of the school programs
5. There is no ashamed asking some financial stuffs
6. No action talk only

Simply,
They give nothing but ask too many things
RUNNING IS HEALTHY AND FUN

Most of us are in the problem of weight, terrible shape. We smoke too much, eat junk food and exercise too little. The reason is no time for such thing.
An easy way to encourage a favorable change in your way of living is by running. It is one of best exercises, simplest and cheapest. The most important benefit one can obtain from running as an exercise is that it develops the endurance of the lungs. Of course, there are other exercises that build such endurance, as swimming, bicycling and rowing. But only running can be done anywhere, requires no equipment and cost almost nothing.

You can Do Everything You wanna Do

You can change your days become a very beautiful day you dream off. You want to be happy, so try to be happy. I mean everything is just your own hand. If you try a hard as possible to grab anything you want. You’ll get it. God knows what to do, If see your sweats wet in your body. It means that you work hard…work hard and work hard. God Knows what to do.

National Examination

Indonesia, my country has a unique way to make an examination at the end of the school program. The National Final Examination. The years that spent by students in the school will judge in the program which is has a full authority to judge weather a student pass the exam or not. No matter how high the score achieved by students along the process of education. If they can make passing grade scores, just like that, the government have a very arrogant way to make a decision if student deserve to graduate from some school or not. Just as simple as that. So, what about the daily process that made by student and teacher in the class in the pass years

Indonesia’s Favorite Sport

Badminton is indeed Indonesia’s favorite sport. Beside it’s cheap, Indonesia has a good team at it. From Lim Swie King, Rudi Hartono until Taufik Hidayat. We’re really proud of them. Because of them, Indonesia not recognized just as terrorist country but there’s something, at least to be proud of. Now, is Thomas and Uber cup already. And we’re waiting for the happiness and proudness that we will become the Champion of the game..

I Want To Be Rich

It doesn’t mean that I don’t thank God for His so manything that happened to my life. I just want more. Greedy? No, Greedy is a want something that we already have. Well, I still far from something called wealthy. I have no saving in the bank, I have enough money to cover my twin boy kindergarten’s fee. I don’t enough money to make sure that they will get a good school to have when their time is come to school. God, I’m suffer…..

Family Life

Parents, what are you doing to improve your family life? Do you set aside time to be with your children? Do you have an organized plan on which the children can depend, a programmed that calls for spending time with them regularly? If you do not have such an arrangement, then you are missing a rare blessing in life.

The tendency of many parents today is care for the children’s material needs, send them to school and then let them do what they wish for themselves. Parents have no time for them and always busy.

Well to improve your family life you have to make a plan to make it true.

Set aside time for each day for the entire family to be together, remember that it is not ‘what’ is done that is so important, but rather than ‘the doing of worthwhile things together’.

Truly, the hours you spend with your family will be among the happiest and most worthwhile of your life. They will your family closer together in a warm relationship. They strengthen the ties between parents and children by offering an opportunity to talk to with one another about hopes, problems, and plans in a friendly, intimate atmosphere. Children will become more respectful to parents and other people.

How Kite’s Can Fly

Nowadays my five years old two sons are deeply in love to kites. Every afternoon, they fly a kite in the court near the house and never stop until the night falls.

Whenever I see the kites high above the sky, I wonder that is at the end of the string controlling the kite? Is it a small barefooted boy in short trousers and in a T- shirt? Or is it an old man pulling at the line with a twinkle of pride in his eyes? Perhaps it is a father introducing his son to this delightful pastime.

Have you ever wondered how a kites flies? This is what I found after small research to read some book.

A number of aerodynamic factors help to make the kite flies. When the air pressure under a kite is greater than that above it, it stays up. If the pressure above it become greater, than it drops. But how do you get a kite off the ground? The long string or line that you hold is attached to short strings on the kite’s underside. This keeps it from fling away in the wind. It also acts as a stabilizer, allowing you to hold the kite steady in position. Kites are best launched at open, windy places. Walking or running a short distance against the wind, while you hold the line with the kite pulled along behind, usually gets a kite lifted up. The kites leaning position makes it climb because its front edge is pushed against the wind.

Kites maybe made in a variety of shapes and sizes. But they will not fly if they are not properly constructed to meet demands of flight. The used of one and several short string that are connected to a kite’s wooden frame is vital. This string tied to the long line that you hold, allow the kite to adjust itself to the changing at the rear end of the kite, provides a weight that keeps the kite bending upward so that it can get the benefit of the upward pressure of the wind flowing past its underside.

The National Awakening Day of Indonesia

It’s been a hundred years since Indonesia had the early nationalist movement. So, it doesn’t seem too much if we celebrate it in a large of scale and in special way. Yes, Indonesia commemorating the national Resurgence Day on May 20th.

People of my country have the spirit of awakening in many ways. The bikers had a rally motorbike tour around the country, even our artist passed away on an accident when they had a journey in central Java. The musician had a concert and sing a national song with full of proud ness. The Military had a special ceremony as a kind of a show force to the world that we have a great army and stronghold to defend the country until the last drop of our blood.

But, is that all? It is not enough. The spirit of awakening is not just like that. It is not just the clamorous applause supporting the Thomas and Uber Cup team in Istora Senayan, Jakarta. It’s not just the poetry that read aloud on the stage. The spirit of awakening is not as simple as that. But, we have to do more, in real action not just rubbish. Let’s fight the corrupt, let’s fight the poorness, and let us do anything better than before, more honest than before….

And me? I have a different way to celebrate the big day. As a teacher, I have a motto “I can make a change no matter how small it is”. Well, I can change the world by teaching in my class. I can change the mindset of my students. So they can face the world with full spirit of awakening day… Just let’s do something better…

PAYPERPOST …WAIT FOR ME..

I fall in love with Payperpost. So I did something silly again. I register my 3 days old blog, so of course they didn’t approve mine again. Well, Somebody in love could do anything stupid right?.. It’s me. But still, I’ll never give up. I have to be paid by the company in the next three months. Although there’s other thing that I have to do. Sign up to Paypal.com. And there’s something really bother me is that I have to make my own credit card. That’s the condition that Paypal ask to make an account. Believe it or not, In My country ( Lovely Indonesia), credit card is something expensive that is not everybody has. Well I must have a paypal account no matter how.

PAYPERPOST.COM

I found Payperpost for about a month ago. Love at first sight, because I sign up at the first time I read about the company. I do love writing, so.. How happy and amazing if you get paid about the things you done in love. Hm, I can’t wait to my first payment. But, how pity, they didn’t approved my blog because of the language. I feel so silly when I read email they sent to me. Payperpost said that they just approve blogs in English and Spanish. Hahaha…I use Indonesian at my blog. Maybe I got confused with this line ‘The blog and all posts relating to payperpost Opportunities must be in the English language or such other language as is identified in the particular opportunity” that I read on the Blogger Specific Term. Ok Payperpost, I’ll register my English blog soon.
